Wedding: Kamal + Machiko

January 28, 2012

I love simple weddings because you really get a chance to experience everything around you. It was a beautifully serene morning on Kamal and Machiko's wedding day. I was the second (and eventually third) photographer this time around, but I almost preferred it -- it gave me time to observe and to pay attention to relationships and emotions instead of having to click-click-click every single smile. I was in my element. I got to understand Kam and Machi a little better in the process, and the bridge they created across the Pacific.

We're both interested in learning about other cultures, so it has been really cool that we have 3 different cultures that we're involved in: Canadian, Indian, and Japanese. Of course, some days are more difficult than others but that's part of the learning process.

I present to you, The "Kamachi" Wedding.
